Fort Leavenworth Stables Activity
Fort Leavenworth Stables Activity provides active and
retired military and DoD civilians and their family members the opportunity to learn and
practice the art of horsemanship in a recreational setting. The Stables can hold 76 horses
in a convenient location on post with competitive rates. Additionally the FLSA boasts large
outdoor lighted arenas, turnout pastures and paddocks, an indoor riding arena, cross
country course, and miles of beautiful wooded trails. The Stables Activity sponsors and
participates in several special events and sanctioned horse shows yearly and is home to
the Brass and Bridle chapter of the U.S. Pony Club.
MONTHLY RATES:
Self care stalls -
Single 10'x10' $85, stall and one-half 10'x15' $105, double 10'x20' $125.
Weekend feeding - $10.
Trailer parking - $15.
Full board stalls -
Single 10x10 $215, stall and one-half 10x15 $245, double 10x20 $275.
Full board includes daily stall cleaning, horse
turnout, and four flakes of hay per day.
FEED:
Hay is available on a 50 cents per flake basis. Patrons provide their own grain. The Stables
staff feed the horses twice daily.

workdays at 651-7307.
FLSA FUN SHOWS
Upcoming dates: March 20, April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 21, September 25 and October 9.
Competitors horses are required to have a negative coggins.
Multiple classes that may include but not be limited to:
combination race, egg in spoon, down and back, flag race, barrels, poles, pleasure classes and jumping classes.
Entry fees are $5 per class (stables fund raiser).
Ribbons and prizes will be awarded.
Walk/trot and advanced classes as well as classes without horses.
Spectators are welcome and will not be charged.
EDGE participants will be encouraged to enter at the end of their 12 week course.
