Fort Leavenworth Stables Activity provides active and
retired military and DoD civilians and their family members the opportunity to learn and
practice the art of horsemanship in a recreational setting. The Stables can hold 65 horses
in a convenient location on post with competitive rates. Additionally the FLSA boasts large
outdoor lighted arenas, turnout pastures and paddocks, an indoor riding arena, cross
country course, and miles of beautiful wooded trails. The Stables Activity sponsors and
participates in several special events and sanctioned horse shows yearly and is home to
the Brass and Bridle chapter of the U.S. Pony Club.
MONTHLY RATES:
Stalls - Single 10'x10' $65, Stall and one-half 10'x15' $85, Double 10'x20' $105.
Trailer parking - $15.
FEED:
Hay is available on a 35 cents per flake basis. Patrons provide their own grain. The Stables
staff feed the horses twice daily. (There is a $10 monthly charge if the stables staff
feeds your horse on the weekend.) Full board, including daily stall cleaning, horse
turnout, and four flakes of hay per day can be arranged for an additional fee.
